Ballet

Isadora Kolmorgan is a trained classical ballet dancer. In her formative years, she danced on company in Denver, CO with studios such as Michelle Latimer Dance Academy, Rocky Mountain Dance Academy, & Millers Dance Studio, often traveling for instruction in the ballet, musical theatre, lyrical, jazz, contemporary and modern, dance genres. After living abroad in the Philippines to study ballet at Silliman University, she later returned to Oregon where she participatined in the productions of Ballet Fantastique. It was ballet, however, that pulled her to return to Denver, Colorado At the National Ballet Academy of Denver, Isadora trained in the pre-professional program and obtained a certificate of completion- Assisted by scholarships, She then co-founded a dance studio on the Oregon Coast for the community youth in her home state; while performing in works, and productions, by Jessica Jaye Mackinson, founder of Fermata Ballet Collective. She has then taught at Alonzo King Lines Ballet in community programs, and Teens at Lines, Bay Area Conservatory, Miss Tilly’s Ballet. As well as numerous other places in the Bay Area. She has also taught at the Joffrey Ballet, and guest taught at other studio in IL. She now is teaching at Pacific Northwest at the school and community education, and Issaquah dance theatre as teacher and choreographer. The joy of seeing students light up when dancing is one of the most spectacular things to witness, and that’s why she loves teaching!
