2024 Summer Programs

This summer we will offer a variety of programs with flexible scheduling to suit both serious and recreational dancers. Camps and classes are taught by professional faculty in a conservatory atmosphere. No audition is required for our intensives. All dancing hearts are welcome!

Classes  

PreBallet for ages 3.5-7

These classes are a joyous introduction to movement and music. Children develop body awareness, flexibility, rhythm, coordination and confidence.

June 22-August 3 (Saturdays only; no class on July 6)

  • 9:00-9:45: PreBallet 1 for ages 3.5-5 ($23/class; $138/session)

  • 9:50-10:50: PreBallet 2 for ages 5-6 ($25/class; $150/session)

  • 10:55-11:55: PreBallet 3 for ages 6-7 ($25/class; $150/session)

BALLET for ages 7-13

Students are introduced to dance in a welcoming, supportive environment. Dancers learn ballet vocabulary and basic technique while developing flexibility, coordination, strength and musicality.

July 2-30 (Tuesdays only)

  • 4:30-5:30: Beginning Ballet for ages 7-9 ($25/class; $125/session)

  • 5:30-6:30: Intermediate Ballet for ages 10-13 ($25/class; $125/session)

OPEN CLASSES for ages 9+

Open classes are a great way to try out our studio and/or maintain your fitness level before intensives begin. Our new pointe and boys’ intensive add-ons will further challenge and engage motivated dancers.

June 17-21 (Monday-Friday)

  • 4:30-6:00: Ballet for ages 9-12 and 13+ ($30/day; $150/week)

  • 6:00-8:00: Pointe intensive add-on for ages 13+ with Ms. Erin ($40/class; $200/week)

  • 6:00-8:00: Boys’ intensive add-on* for ages 10+ with Mr. Roman ($40/class; $200/week)

June 24-28 (Monday-Friday)

  • 10:00-11:30: Ballet for ages 9-12 and 13+ ($30/day; $150/week)

  • 11:30-1:30: Pointe intensive add-on for ages 13+ with Ms. Tatiana ($40/class; $200/week)

  • 11:30-1:30: Boys’ intensive add-on* for ages 10+ with Mr. Roman ($40/class; $200/week)

  • 1:30-2:00: Optional boys’ private lesson for ages 10+ with Mr. Roman - One per day available (Email info@emeraldballet.org for pricing and to schedule)

July 1-3 (Monday-Wednesday)

  • 10:00-12:00: Ballet & pointe/pre-pointe for ages 9-12 and 13+ ($40/class; $120/week)

*All boys ages 13+ who attend our boys’ intensives will be considered for a scholarship during the 2024-25 season.

Thematic Camps

Dance & art days for ages 3.5-8*

New this year! These daily two-hour sessions featuring art and dance will keep your kiddo entertained, engaged and active.

  • June 24-28 from 9:30-11:30 ($50/day; $250/week)

Outer Space DANCE & ART Camp for ages 3.5-8*

3-2-1 … blast off! Come explore the universe with us during five creative days of camp. Children can attend the morning session or stay the entire day. In the morning, time will be split equally between dance and art. In the afternoon, storytime, imaginative games, acting-out-stories and snacktime will round out the fun. Camp culminates with an informal performance and gallery of student artwork. Price includes all materials. Full-day campers should bring their own lunch.

  • July 15-19 from 9:30-12:00 ($65/day; $315/week)

  • July 15-19 from 9:30-3:00 ($135/day; $685/week)

Candy Land DANCE & ART Camp for ages 3.5-8*

Join us for a magical journey full of sweet surprises during this Candy Land-inspired camp! Children can attend the morning session or stay the entire day. In the morning, time will be split equally between dance and art. In the afternoon, campers will enjoy candy-themed games, storytime, snacktime and tackling fun dance obstacles. A sugary happy playlist will keep everyone smiling. Camp culminates with an informal performance and gallery of student artwork. Price includes all materials. Full-day campers should bring their own lunch.

  • July 29-August 2 from 9:30-12:00 ($65/day; $315/week)

  • July 29-August 2 from 9:30-3:00 ($135/day; $685/week)

*Campers must be age 3 by 1/1/2024 and can toilet independently.

Did you know? EBT also offers camps through the City of Bellevue (July 8-11 and July 22-25) and City of Redmond (August 5-9 and August 12-16).

Ballet Intensives

LEVEL A (ages 8-10 with 0 yrs pointe or B1-4A)

BALLET technique | Pointe/pre-pointe | MUSICAL THEATRE or jazz | FRIDAY CLASS DEMO

Level A intensives take place at the EBA studio. They include daily technique class, beginning pointe or pre-pointe class, and jazz or musical theatre. Guest faculty Annalisa Brinchmann will teach musical theatre-type dancing as well as acting and singing. All weeks include an informal class demo on Friday.

  • July 8-12 from 1:30-4:30 at studio with Ms. Tatiana and Ms. Annalisa: Shrek Musical Theatre ($350/week or $310 if 2+ weeks)

  • July 15-19 from 1:30-4:30 at studio with Ms. Tatiana and Ms Annalisa: Frozen Musical Theatre ($350/week or $310 if 2+ weeks)

  • July 29-August 2 from 1:30-4:30 at studio with Ms. Viktoria and Mr. Eli: Jazz ($350/week or $310 if 2+ weeks)

LEVEL B (ages 11-13 w/1-2 yrs pointe or 4B-5A)

BALLET technique | Pointe | ENRICHMENT | FRIDAY CLASS DEMO at studio | rehearsal & performance at theatre

Level B intensives take place at the studio or Meydenbauer Theatre. Studio intensives include daily ballet technique, pointe class, and a variety of enrichment classes such as character, acting, contemporary, jazz, variations and stretching/conditioning. Theatre intensives include daily class and pointe, and learning/rehearsing classical or neo-classical rep/choreography. All weeks conclude with an informal performance.

  • July 8-12 from 1:30-5:30 at studio with Mr. Roman: Character & Acting ($460/week or $420 if 2+ weeks)

  • July 15-19 from 1:30-5:30 at studio with Ms. Tatiana and Mr. Eli: Jazz/Contemporary ($460/week or $420 if 2+ weeks)

  • July 22-26 from 1:30-5:30 at Meydenbauer Theatre with Mr. Roman: Vaganova ($460/week or $420 if 2+ weeks)

  • July 29-August 2 from 1:30-5:30 at Meydenbauer Theatre with Ms. Erin: Balanchine-inspired ($460/week or $420 if 2+ weeks)

  • August 5-9 from 1:30-5:30 at Meydenbauer Theatre with Ms. Erin and guest judges: Variations & Mock judging ($460/week or $420 if 2+ weeks)

LEVEL C (ages 13+ w/3+ yrs pointe or 5B+)

PRIVATE LESSONS

Summer is the perfect time for supplemental coaching with one of our faculty members. Priority is given to students who are enrolled in our intensives. Please email Ms. Erin at info@emeraldballet.org for details.
